Mixing travel and work is one of the most rewarding experiences for this native of Randolph, New Jersey. Lisa graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her television career in 1992 as an intern in New York City at WCBS-TV and “Late Night with David Letterman.” She went on to work as a director/technical director at WIS-TV, an NBC affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina, and then as promotions producer/editor at WACH-TV, a FOX affiliate, also in Columbia. She drove up to Chicago on New Year’s Day in 1998 with all her possessions (and her cat) to start her new job as a specials producer at ABC7 Chicago.
When not at one of her jobs, Lisa loves traveling and is ready to go anywhere, anytime. She has now visited 60+ countries on six continents and 43 of the U.S. states. She is somewhat of a savant in matters of maps, geography, food, photography, & pop culture.
She is also active in her community, volunteering at Crate Free Illinois, Hostelling International, Literacy Chicago teaching English as a second language and for PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) and Feline Friends Chicago as a foster. Also a volunteer with the Chicago Greeter program, operated by the City of Chicago, Lisa gave tourists from around the world a local’s look at her favorite adopted city. Lisa lives in her adopted hometown of Chicago. Lisa loves chocolate and kitties, but not together.
