Mixing travel and work is one of the most rewarding experiences for this native of Randolph, New Jersey. Lisa graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her television career in 1992 as an intern in New York City at WCBS-TV and “Late Night with David Letterman.” She went on to work as a director/technical director at WIS-TV, an NBC affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina, and then as promotions producer/editor at WACH-TV, a FOX affiliate, also in Columbia. She drove up to Chicago on New Year’s Day in 1998 with all her possessions (and her cat) to start her new job as a specials producer at ABC7 Chicago.
When not at one of her jobs, Lisa loves traveling and is ready to go anywhere, anytime. She has now visited 60+ countries on six continents and 43 of the U.S. states. She is somewhat of a savant in matters of maps, geography, food, photography, & pop culture.
She is also active in her community, volunteering at Crate Free USA, Coalition for Appropriate Transportation (CAT), Hostelling International, Literacy Chicago teaching ESL, and for PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) and Feline Friends Chicago as a foster. Also a volunteer with the Chicago Greeter program, operated by the City of Chicago, Lisa gave tourists from around the world a local’s look at her favorite adopted city. Lisa recently moved to Bethlehem, PA after living in her beloved Chicago for 23 years. Lisa loves chocolate and kitties, but not together.
